The 26th annual conference of the European Access Network (EAN) will take place September 20-22, 2017 at the Justus-Liebig-University in Giessen, Germany. It is hosted by ArbeiterKind.de, Germany ́s largest network for first generation students.

With regards to the conference, Prof. Dr. Mukherjee, President of the Justus-Liebig-University, says: "We at Justus Liebig University (JLU) strongly identify with the EAN’s mission to promote educational equity. We believe that a person’s social background should not dictate their educational opportunities. As part of our efforts to improve wider access, we work with ArbeiterKind.de, an initiative committed to supporting first-generation students. It is very promising that the situation of first-generation students is one of the key topics of the 26th EAN conference, which we are excited to host this year at JLU in Giessen."

The Call for Contributions for the EAN 26th Annual conference is now open. Deadline for submissions is May 31st 2017. Read the guidelines for submissions here.
